About the destination: Sámara is district 5 of the canton of Nicoya, in the province of Guanacaste, in Costa Rica. The district has an area of 109.51 km2 and an estimated population of 3,510 inhabitants (2011). The head of the same name is a small tourist town on the north coast of Costa Rica. It is, perhaps, the most important tourist center of the Nicoya Peninsula and a point of reference par excellence in the Costa Rican Pacific.
