About the destination: Rio Hato has beaches with white sands that attract tourists. The region is called Pearl of the Pacific (from Punta Chame to Farallón). Río Hato is a central point of departure to other places of tourist interest, such as: El Valle de Antón, the Azuero Peninsula, La Pintada and the Cities of Anton and Penonomé, which is the Geographic Center of the Republic of Panama. For this reason, Rio Hato was chosen for the construction of the first international airport in the interior of the country, using the remaining track of the airstrip built by the North American army during World War II. The Palacio de las Garzas, where the President of the country lives, is two blocks to the north. On the east side there is Plaza de Francia and the beautiful walkway called Paseo de las Bovedas, with great views of the city. The amazing Panama Canal, considered one of the greatest engineering marvels in the world, is, undoubtedly, the one big draw of all tourists who come to the city. Growing, inviting, exciting, lively and sleepless, Panama City is the most cosmopolitan and vibrant capital in Central America.
