Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park (L, D)
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and assisted by Sense of Africa representative. You will then be transferred to The Restaurant in Arusha for lunch, thereafter proceed to Tarangire National Park for an afternoon game drive Tarangire is Tanzania's third largest national park and a sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are another interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. You may catch glimpses of lions, leopards and cheetahs.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park - Ngorongoro (B, L, D)
With packed lunches depart and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing The Park stretches from the base of the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment to its famous soda lake. It is truly one of the most beautiful places in Africa. As you enter the gate, the park is dramatically marked off by lush green vegetation consisting of tall trees emerging from the groundwater forest, which provides a home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. Further down, the forest opens up into woodland, grassland and swamps. Further down lies the soda lake itself, where over 350 species of birds, including the lively flamingo, pelican, sacred ibis, grebe and stork, can be viewed. This park is a bird watcher’s paradise! Manyara is also known for its numerous buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo, large variety of smaller animals, and of course: the very elusive tree-climbing lions. Afternoon proceed to your Lodge in Ngorongoro area.
Day 3: Ngorongoro - Ngorongoro Crater (B, L, D)
After breakfast at the Lodge, commence drive to the floor of the crater for crater tour. Quite possibly the most famous of all Africa’s conservation areas, this is one of the places where you stand a good chance of seeing the Big 5. The enduring charm of Ngorongoro stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident here. Later you will return to your camp. Late afternoon drive back to your Lodge in Karatu area.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha (B, L)
After breakfast at the Lodge, you will commence your drive to Arusha Lunch will be served at the Restaurant in Arusha Later transferred to Arusha Airport for your departure flight.
