This safari starts in Dar es Salaam and leads to the Mikumi and Ruaha National Parks. A different kind of experience!
Day 1: Dar es Salaam - Mikumi National Park (L, D)
After breakfast, drive to Mikumi National Park. Lunch is taken at the lodge. In the afternoon you will go on a game drive through the Mikumi National Park. You will be back at the lodge in the late afternoon.
Day 2: Mikumi - Ruaha National Park (B, L, D)
After an early breakfast, you drive to Ruaha National Park. You will reach the national park in the late afternoon, where you will have a picnic lunch. Ruaha National Park has an impressively beautiful and wild landscape with miombo woodlands, rolling forests, hills, rivers and plains. The national park is home to a wide variety of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hunting dogs, warthogs, giraffes, zebras, huge herds of buffalo and large herds of elephants.
Days 3 and 4: Ruaha National Park (B, L, D)
Over the next 2 days, you will explore the park by vehicle and on foot. You will explore the Ruaha River, a scenic treat and attraction for a stunning array of wildlife. Elephants are not uncommon here. Hippos in large numbers are also guaranteed. Kudus, eland, giraffe and dikdik thrive in abundance in this park.
Day 5: Ruaha - Mikumi National Park (B, L, D)
After breakfast, set off for Mikumi to spot wildlife along the way. Arrive at Mikumi National Park in the afternoon.
Day 6: Mikumi - Dar es Salaam (B)
Early morning game drive in the park. Then breakfast and return to Dar es Salaam.
