1. Palma de Mallorca
Stay
About the destination: Palma de Mallorca, the vibrant capital of Spain’s Balearic Islands, is a city where beach life, history, and Mediterranean charm blend effortlessly. Stroll along the palm-lined seafront promenade, Passeig Marítim, and you’ll see luxury yachts bobbing in the harbor, terraced cafés buzzing with locals and visitors, and the golden silhouette of the city’s Gothic cathedral dominating the skyline. With over 300 days of sunshine a year, Palma is an ideal base for exploring the island or simply soaking up the relaxed coastal atmosphere. At the heart of the city stands La Seu, the magnificent cathedral that has watched over Palma’s bay for centuries. Its soaring buttresses and intricate façade are impressive from a distance, but step inside to admire the colorful stained glass, including one of the largest rose windows in the world, and design elements reimagined by Antoni Gaudí. Just a short walk away, the Royal Palace of La Almudaina and the labyrinth of narrow streets in the old town reveal Palma’s layered past—from Moorish rule to medieval Christian reconquest. Palma is also a city for leisurely discovery. Get lost in the historic quarter among honey-colored stone buildings, hidden courtyards, and boutiques tucked into centuries-old houses. Pause in a traditional café for an ensaïmada, the island’s famous spiral pastry, or sample fresh seafood and tapas at the lively Mercat de l’Olivar. As evening falls, the city’s terraces fill with people enjoying a glass of local wine or a gin and tonic while the sun sets over the bay. Beyond the urban core, Palma offers easy access to some of Mallorca’s most beautiful beaches and scenic routes. A short drive or bus ride brings you to sandy coves with turquoise waters, while inland roads lead to charming villages such as Valldemossa and Deià in the Tramuntana mountains. Whether you’re drawn by culture, cuisine, nightlife, or nature, Palma de Mallorca is a destination that invites you to slow down, explore, and savor the Mediterranean way of life.

About the destination: Located on the north coast of the island of Mallorca, in the bay of Alcúdia. This bay, traditionally a summer resort for many Mallorcan people, has become one of the tourist areas par excellence. The combination of sports berths with a need to supply goods for the consumption of the island and the transit between the island of Menorca and some ports of the peninsula, make it a port with special characteristics. It has two very different areas: the commercial dock and the smaller boats, which is formed by the fishing pier and a marina. Even so, it is an eminently energetic port. In its facilities, coal is discharged, to produce electricity, as well as butane and propane gas.

About the destination: The tranquility of its cobblestone streets, the spectacularness of its terraces dedicated to planting, its cove with its small port and its source of fresh water, its other natural sources of fresh and healthy water, its unique distribution of this water with a perfectly organized ditch system, along with many other incentives, such as the cozy treatment of its people , the large number of walking tours of the mountain that can be made in the area or by its old church of San Juan Bautista, make Estellencs one of the most unique and attractive towns on the island. Its small territory, hanging on the sea, is characterized by the cobblestone streets of the village and by the magical and slender figure of Puig de Galatzo, which together with other surrounding mountains end abruptly in the sea. A must for all those who want to know the north coast and the Serra de Tramontana de Mallorca, the object of 80% of the tourist routes, has a small but select offer of accommodation and catering. The best known Hotel is the Maristel Hotel, undergoing a significant reform in the last year, which has a small spa, tennis court, swimming pool and restaurant. Two other rural hotels are the Hotel Nord with eight rooms in the center of the village and located in an old renovated house in the Plaza d'es Triquet, in front of the old defense tower; and the five-room Petit Hotel Sa Plana, located just off the village towards Andratx. You can also rent an apartment in Vall-Hermos, in the upper part of the village. As for restaurants and bars, and also in the upper area, we will find the Montimar Restaurant and son Llarg Restaurant in the Plaza de la Iglesia; Maristel Restaurant, Estellencs Cafe and Vallhermos Cafe. At the entrance of the village by Banyalbufar is the Pizzeria Giardini and on the road to Andratx the Restaurant Es Grau. In addition in cala de Estellencs we will find the Sa Punteta bar, where meals are also served and in the lower part of the village we should review the Sa Tanca bar that is a meeting point for the people of the village. The municipality celebrates its patron saint festivities of San Juan Bautista at the end of August, celebrated during the year various cultural events of which stand out the guitar serenades Memorial Xavier Bestard.

Stay
About the destination: Sant Elm was named after the patron saint of sailors. In the past, it was a quiet fishing village. TToday, it largely remains true to its roots, but a few good-quality restaurants have popped up in the area in recent years and have certainly added to its charms. It doesn’t really feel like a resort but there are a couple of hotels and a selection of villas in this neck of the woods, ideal for those keen to keep away from the beaten track of Mallorca’s southwestern coastline. With the Serra de Tramuntana on its doorstep, Sant Elm is also a prime location for hikers and cyclists to base themselves. There is still very much a local feel to Sant Elm even if, over the years, international holidaymakers have been buying homes in the area. The winters here are particularly quiet with many restaurants closing for their annual break at this time of year. In the summer, Sant Elm does receive a good influx of day visitors due to its beautiful location. Many spend the day on the pretty sandy beaches or enjoy a lunch in one of the seafood restaurants on the coastline. Others travel to Sant Elm to catch a boat over to Sa Dragonera for the day to take a closer look at the natural flora and fauna on the uninhabited island.
