About the destination: Rio de Janeiro, often referred to simply as Rio, is a Brazilian municipality, capital of the homonymous state, located in the Southeast of the country. The largest international tourist destination in Brazil, Latin America and the entire Southern Hemisphere, the capital of Rio de Janeiro is the best known Brazilian city abroad, functioning as a "mirror", or "portrait" nationally, whether positive ly or negatively. It is one of the main economic, cultural and financial centers of the country, being internationally known for several cultural and landscape icons, such as sugar loaf, corcovado hill with the statue of Christ the Redeemer, the beaches of the neighborhoods of Copacabana, Ipanema and Barra da Tijuca, maracanã stadium, the bohemian neighborhood of Lapa, the forests of Tijuca and Pedra Branca, the island of Paquetá, The New Year's Eve of Copacabana, the Rio carnival, Bossa Nova and samba. It was the capital of Brazil, from colonial Portuguese until 1960, when the government's office was transferred to the newly built Brasilia. This large, modern city has art galleries, wealthy handsome museums, world-class music venues, and the best restaurants in the country. Strolling along Avenida Paulista, the financial center of São Paulo, you will see many modern buildings, as well as Art Nouveau and Art Deco mansions and some of the city's main cultural attractions, such as Casa das Rosas, Trianon Park or the Museu de Arte de São Paulo. Nearby, there is Praça da Sé, in the heart of the city. The Catedral da Sé dominates this beautiful square. About the destination: Manaus is the capital of the state of Amazonas in north-western Brazil. It is situated in the heart of the Amazon rainforest on the north bank of the Rio Negro, just 10 kilometres upstream from the point where Rio Negro meets the Solimoes and forms the Amazon River. Manaus is the gateway to the Amazon. The enormous richness and diversity that can be found within nature in the Amazonas is amazing, and Manaus is where most Amazon tour operators are based.The city has plenty of sight to see and a vast array of grand-looking buildings. The floating dock is worth a visit, as well as the market. About the destination: Cumbuco is a small fishing village situated about 25 kilometres (16 mi) North West from the city of Fortaleza, in the state of Ceara, along the north east coast of Brazil. The population is around 1600. The village is regarded as picturesque and scenic and is attracting both domestic and international tourism. Cumbuco has a beautiful and quiet beach near Fortaleza on one side of town and the famous sand dunes on the other side. There is a small and busy village centre built around the main square adjacent to the beach which has a fresh fish market, tropical palm trees, and several beach restaurants (barracas). Facing onto the Atlantic Ocean, Cumbuco also has perfect conditions for kitesurfing and windsurfing, with mild air and ocean temperatures and strong and consistent South East trade winds from July to January.[2] Sand dunes behind the village also create a thermal effect that boost the wind speed. Cumbuco is ideal destination for kite vacation for beginners and advanced kiteboarders. Beach is wide and sandy, Wind blows every day at season from side shore direction, many beach hotels, pousadas[3] and kite clubs. There are more than 300 km of beaches in the State of Ceara, which are popular for practicing downwind trips and kite safaris.
