Its groundwater forest offers a nice change of scenery from the more savannah dominated parks. This park is very known for tree-climbing lions. The scenic beauty of Manyara is the main reason to travel here and certainly deserves a visit. Lake Manyara's game includes good numbers of elephant, buffalo and wildebeest along with plenty of giraffe. Also prolific in number are zebra, waterbuck, warthog and impala.
